The annual Taos Pueblo Pow Wow is an extraordinary feast for the senses.
Every summer, dancers and drummers come from all all over Indian Country to participate in this gathering.
A celebration of culture and tradition.
Vendors circling the grounds sell traditional (and not so) food, and beautiful jewelry can be bought for a song,
The sight of all this beauty is enough to make one think one has been transported to Paradise!
The workmanship in these costumes is so intricate and filled with meaning.
Just like the dances which have evolved over centuries.
The children especially are a joy to watch, so graceful and totally in the dance.
Bill Curry took these gorgeous pictures over the weekend and I couldn’t be happier to share them with you today.
Enjoy! I’ll be back on Wednesday.
