When Ayurvedic and Herbal Practitioner Toni Leigh started making Sage infused soap in her Hondo Mesa kitchen she had no idea where it would lead.

All these years later, Desert Blends has a loyal following who swear by the products Toni makes from Wild Crafted and locally sourced, mostly organic ingredients.

Committed to sustainable practices, Toni still oversees the production of her lines, and harvests many of the botanicals she uses, here in Taos every Autumn.

For many years her Taos based factory and retail outlet at the end of Bent Street  (where Chocolate and Cashmere is now housed), were well-known to locals and visitors to Taos. The shop on Bent was a destination spot.

These days she divides her time between here and California where her mother, daughter and granddaughters live, but her far-flung customers are happy to be able to purchase directly from her website.

Locally her products are available exclusively at Cids Food Market and this weekend, during their 30th Anniversary bash, her 2Shea Facial Line is on sale for two weeks starting today!

For more information on this nourishing and healing skin care line formulated especially for the High Desert Climate, please visit Toni’s site linked below this post and do visit Cids this weekend to help them celebrate 30 years aqui en Taos!
