This weekend is truly the start of the summer season here in the Land of Enchantment.
Our season kicks off each and every year with the roar of engines cruising through town (and the surrounding towns in the Enchanted Circle), with over 20,000 bikers participating in the festivities.
South Dakota may have Sturgis, but every year Taos County hosts one of the oldest motorcycle rallies in America.
For the past three decades, the Annual Red River Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally has rocked the area for a five day long, weekend.
Anyone who has the slightest interest in motorcycles will be taking part in the event.
Not only is it a great way to mark the celebrations of Memorial Day, but it’s also the perfect opportunity to meet and interact with others who have the same love for motorcycles as you do.
Of course, it is strongly urged that have insured your bike in advance of the event, and something like these 125 bike insurance premiums should be considered if you have this type of bike and have yet to find decent coverage for your pride and joy.
The weekend is a long one, so make sure that you have everything you need before making the journey down to the starting location.
On Monday morning, the bikers ride to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Angel Fire before heading back home.
The event is held annually from Wednesday-Monday over Memorial Day weekend.
Have a great weekend everyone, I’ll see you back here on Wednesday!
