A lot of people think that they have to spend a lot of money when it comes to high fashion, but they are seriously misled in this. Everyone loves having nice clothing and a lot of people also like having designer clothes as well. However, you don’t have to spend all your money, instead, you could use something like this Maurielle’s Replica Guide to get the labels that you love, but for a much cheaper price. What’s not to love about that?
These days even the glossy fashion magazines have been revolutionized by (fashion bloggers) who have taken ready-to-wear off the runway and onto the street; combining couture with vintage and active-wear, with aplomb, forever changing the way women (and men) get dressed.
There is something liberating about Fashion’s current direction in this age of individuality where intermarriage (and the internet), have changed the face of the world and its occupants in less than a generation. Models run the gamut from Adrianna’s classic (and fairly conventional, blonde Northern European looks) to more exotic types like the current It Girl, half Palestinian,Bella Hadid, and Trans model, Hari Nef.
Girls (and boys) of colour are also more visible in magazines that once only showed black women who looked white, and more and more, we are seeing different body types celebrated as well.
Fashion has always reflected the socio-economic and political climate – in many ways it’s a barometer if not a sign of the times, and currently the creative and very eclectic mash-up indicates an optimism that goes far beyond the confines of austerity and the Kingdom of Trump.
Might I whisper that revolution is in the air? A different sort perhaps, a quiet, stealthy change coming from within, reflected in a new generation of conscious, daring and freedom-loving rainbow children drawn to an open road devoid of borders; inclusive,and certainly without archaic rules dictating who wears what and when.
Second hand style is not only sustainable style, it’s also a political statement in an era of turbulence and change.
Is revolution in the air?
One can only hope.
