The Hearth at Common Fire is lit up and turning out great bread, flat bread and more to delight the most jaded palates.

See my prior post to get the details but suffice it to say, Taos – which in no way lacks great eateries, we are serious Foodies up here – now has a new addition to satisfy our testy taste buds!

Word’s out that the soft opening on Saturday was a huge success beyond anyone’s expectations. Expecting a dozen or so people, Common Fire served over 100 with zero glitches and rave reviews still pouring in.

The place was packed with a few of our more visible locals – Julia Roberts and her hubby who keep a home here, showed – she remembered Billy Sarokin from a movie they’d worked on – and our not so visible ones as well.

Everyone ate, drank and vowed to return.

Grand Opening this Thursday so do sit out on the terrace and have a drink or two while the sun set turns the mountain a soft rose-gold, before dinner.

You’ll thank me later for the tip. Speaking of tips, don’t forget Andy’s stellar wait staff. Tip them well, they’ve already proven themselves!
