For some Taos is all about the outdoors and it’s not hard to see why. It’s a magnificent setting with sweeping vistas, the majestic mountains and the awe inspiring Rio Grand Gorge.
Skiiers, river rafters, rock climbers, cyclists, equestrians, golfers all love it up here, once they adjust to the altitude and the energy high. We even have a Tennis Ranch.

The White Sands National Monument, 275 square miles of gypsum white sand dunes, is located in the mountain-ringed Tularosa Basin. It is the largest gypsum dune field in the world.

After a week of white stuff, the sun is shining here in Taos.
Last week we were in t-shirts and sandals and this week the cashmere and boots are back in rotation. Typical early Spring in Taos. Snow, mud, more snow, more mud.
She arrived in May of 1929 and until 1949 spent part of every year working in New Mexico.
And the aliens too apparently.
Taos Ski Valley’s Annual New Year’s Eve Celebrations lit up the sky last night.
Our beautiful blue skies are constantly criss-crossed with trails of something mysterious that have a lot of locals up in arms.It’s not unusual to see people protesting the Chem Trails but this random roadside sculpture says it all.
