Salon X

  This week on taoStyle it’s about the hip factor and hip hair counts. At the entry way to Salon X on the Paseo, stands a huge shears sculpture by Christina Sporrong, In Taos it doesn’t get much hipper than that.

The Mud Palace

  Robby Romero’s teens began a year early on his twelfth birthday here in Taos at the Mabel Dodge Lujan House. Dennis Hopper owned the house at the time and during his long residency there, his Mud Palace was the talk of the town. The stories still circulate all these years later.

Taos Mesa Brewing

  One of hippest places in town for live music is out of town actually, across the road from our soon to be expanded (just a little) airport. Taos Mesa Brewing opened in the Summer of 2012 and they’ve been rockin’ the Mesa ever since.

Paul O’Connor

2014 was a great year for Paul O’Connor.His acclaimed book Taos Portraits won in three categories including Best Book at the Arizona/New Mexico Book Awards, a powerful affirmation for Paul who put twenty years of work into the project which you can discover more about via his link below.
